Brent Burniston received his Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from the legendary Jean Jacques Machado in 2009.  

As one of Machado’s top black belts and instructors, Brent was often called upon to teach classes at his prestigious academy in Tarzana, CA and specifically selected to assist in seminars and conferences with international icons such as Dan Inosanto.

Brent’s is known in the elite circles of martial arts for his innovation, detailed instruction, and endless encyclopedia of technique knowledge.

In 2015, Brent was honored by being appointed as a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Advisor to the UFAF, founded by Chuck Norris - one of the leading and most recognizable martial arts organizations in the world.  

Brent worked closely with co-founder and Chief Instructor David Dunn in developing the UFAF’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu curriculum. 

According to David, “Brent played a crucial role in the development of our curriculum, and is a huge asset to our organization.” At the annual 2015 conference, Brent took part in teaching several massive workshops of over 300 plus UFAF students from all around the world.

Professor Nicholas Gregoriades

Nicolas Gregoriades is a South African grappler who is the first jiu-jitsu practitioner to be promoted to black belt by the greatest grappler of all-time, Roger Gracie.

Gregoriades is an accomplished competitor and national champion in both South Africa and England. He is also the author of two books on the art, The Black Belt Blueprint and Beyond the Black Belt, and his popular instructional videos are known as some of the best on the market.

Over the last 20 years he has taught jiu-jitsu to thousands of students all over the world and is widely regarded as one of the best instructors working today.

He is also well-known for his ‘Spirit of Jiu-Jitsu’ and ‘Soul of Jiu-Jitsu’ short films and his holistic, conceptually-based approach to teaching.
